A simple coat or two of black matte paint yields EERIE results! I used an artificial pumpkin, you can keep it from year to year! Also, completely painting a real pumpkin makes it go bad much faster than an unpainted pumpkin.

You will need:
Big pumpkin -- I used an artificial one
Matte black paint - you could even use chalkboard paint!
Paintbrush
  1. Lay down a drop cloth or newspapers.
  2. Simply coat the pumpkin with several coats of matte black paint.
  3. Allow to dry completely.
