My friends at Traditional Medicinals asked me to incorporate three of their teas into my wellness routine for a three week period. In the evening, I’ve found that I am really benefiting from taking time to be very intentional and mindful about relaxing and reflecting on my day.
When I was a boy growing up in Norway I was always so interested in my Mormor’s nightly routine. She’d sit at her vanity and put on all sorts of gorgeously scented night creams. She’d also often treat herself to a little nip of a night cap. In homage to my Mormor, I have been making time each evening to sit down with a warm cup of tea, and pamper myself. I make sure the lighting is soft, I’m in comfortable clothes, and I’m alone and quiet in my favorite comfy chair. While I wait for my tea to brew, I love to apply a bit of my homemade “calm balm” scented with almond oil and lavender. I’ve even been using a mindfulness app to do a little 4 minute relaxation meditation. I really love this part of my day so much!
Traditional Medicinals Nighty Night tea is the perfect way to relax and unwind, reflect on your day, and get you ready for a good night’s sleep.* It’s minty and sweet with notes of citrus and spice, and like a final thank you to yourself for a day well spent.
