You know there are some mushrooms out there that you should not eat. These fall under that category. They are simply made of felted wool. Looks complicated, but super easy to make and so much fun.

You need:
Wool for felting in a few different colors
washing up detergent
boiling water
thin metal wire
hot glue gun

  1. Start with the stems.
  2. Twist together wool like a sausage, it will shrink a lot.
  3. Add a little soap and over the sink add a little water.
  4. Start to gently tap on the wool, work it gently together.
  5. Once it's getting into shape pour boiling water over it and then cold water. This will make the wool shrink.
  6. Work it until you have a long stem. Once it's dry, cut them up into smaller stems.
  7. Insert a wire in each stem.
  8. For the Tops: Layer the wool into a mushroom top shape.
  9. Add a little soap and over the sink add a little water.
  10. Start to gently tap on the wool, work it gently together.
  11. Once it's getting into shape pour boiling water over it and then cold water. This will make the wool shrink.
  12. Dry and hot glue to the stem.
