There's something magical about WHITE drawings on beautiful brown kraft paper.

From Lova: "I absolutely love the effect of white drawings on kraft paper. I wanted to use that somehow so I made these bags with white illustrations. Remember that when you use white you have to draw the highlights instead of the shadows!  If you want, you can search on Google for negative images and it will help you see what part you should draw."

You will need:

Kraft paper bags or just kraft paper -- my bags are from Paper Source

A great idea of what to draw

White colored pencils, chalk, acrylic paint -- whatever you prefer -- you can even mix mediums.

  1. Simply draw your design on the white kraft paper.
  2. When drawing in white you should try to draw the highlights instead of the dark parts. The effect is stunning.
  3. If you are having a hard time you can Google "negative images" and it should be easy for you to understand.

TIP:

Besides drawing on a gift bag, you could also make kraft paper giftwrap, placemats, greeting cards... just about anything you can imagine!
