Draw what you love on dishware! To do this project you need an oil-based Sharpie or a special pen made for porcelain.

From Lova: "I recently found out that oil-based Sharpie sticks to porcelain if you put it in the oven! I couldn’t wait to try it out, and guess what? It works! Since it’s summer I felt liking drawing a natural scene and I decided to draw this little forest path with paper lanterns (because there’s no such thing as a wrong time for paper lanterns)."

Oil-based Sharpie or Porcelain Pen -- I love this Sharpie

  1. Decide on your illustration. I always sketch out my illustration on paper before I begin to actually draw on my cup. If you aren't the best drawer you can always do a simple pattern like polka-dots or you could also write a name in script!
  2. Once your satisfied with your drawing it's time to bake it in the oven. Make sure you put your dishware in a COLD oven to start. Once your piece is in the oven set it for 350 degrees and bake your piece for 30 minutes. Or follow the instruction on your pen's packaging.
  3. Allow the oven and your piece to cool completely before removing.
  4. You're ready to display your cup!
