This mini-tree is inspired by two things:
1. I hate to throw anything away!
2. Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Iowa Pinescented products
My grandmother always taught me to be thrifty and to never throw away scraps!
When I was recently working on a holiday wreath for a shoot I found myself with
leftover clippings from the greens. I decided to make myself this little
potted tree. I've actually made several and am clustering them together on
my table as a nice centerpiece. An added bonus is the great pine scent!
You will need:
pine clippings
clippers
bamboo stick
florist wire
star - you can easily buy one at the craft store
hot glue gun
flowerpot filled with flower foam
- Start by cutting your pine clippings into 4-5 inch pieces
- Start on the bottom and secure 4-5 pine bits around the bamboo stick using the wire. Remember to leave some bamboo stick to stick into the pot.
- work yourself all the way up the stick.
- End it and hide the end with a star that you hot glue in place.
- Stick the tree into a flowerpot filled with flower foam.
