When I was a boy my grandmother and I would always doodle on the photographs in the daily newspaper.  This holiday craft is a sweet and funny way to draw your own holiday doodles on vintage photos!  The vintage family photos are usually pretty easy to come across at flea markets or on Etsy.  They are usually quite inexpensive as well.

You will need:

Old Photographs

Paintbrush

Craft Paint

  1. Use different colors of craft paint to paint on fun holiday themed embellishments to each photo.
  2. Some motif ideas are: scarf, mittens, holly, wreaths, Christmas trees, snowmen etc.
  3. Allow to dry completely between each color, and after you're done painting.
  4. Display photos as holiday decor or use them as holiday cards by writing messages on the back!
