Take a simple plastic bottle and transform it into a chic painted vase that will be the talk of your next dinner party! This project is presented by our friends at Aveeno.

You can also use the bottles to make planters. Use a knife to cut off the top half of the bottle and prime and paint the same way as I've described here.

You will need:
clean empty bottles
spray primer
craft paint
brush
tassels, I got mine at a craft store
string

  1. Remove the labels from the bottles. If you have leftover stickiness on the bottles simply clean with your favorite adhesive remover spray.
  2. Spray each bottle with two coats of primer, allowing to dry in between and after.
  3. Paint each bottle with craft paint in your desired color. I used 3 coats of paint and allowed to dry in between each coat.
  4. You can use each bottle as a vase for your favorite flowers. You can also add a store-bought tassel around the top to give it a little sophisticated flare!

TIP:

You can put sand, marbles, or pebbles in the bottom the the vases to help keep them stationary.
