Red Ribbon Cola is a staple drink in Pittsburgh, PA since 1904. You can really swap in any cola you like in this scrumptious BBQ sauce. Use as a marinade, BBQ sauce, or even a dipping sauce. It's THAT good!
MAKES 32 OUNCES
You Will Need:
24 ounces Red Ribbon Cola, or the brand of your choice
14 ounces tomato puree
1 cup dried apricots
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup orange juice
2 cloves garlic
1 large sweet onion
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 sprigs fresh thyme

- Add all ingredients into a blender, and blend until everything is a smooth pureé.
- In a small saucepan, simmer over medium heat for 1 hour until thick.
- Set aside to cool.
