Blood oranges have an amazing sweet taste—and the color is out of this world. Soaking them in honey and maple syrup turnes them into the most gorgeous jewel-toned desserts! Not too heavy either!
2 cups water
1/3 cup honey
4 tablespoons maple syrup
4 tablespoons sugar
4 blood oranges, skin cut off
- In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil; add honey, maple syrup and sugar.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Let cool; add the blood oranges.
- Soak oranges in the syrup at least 1 hour. Serve cold.
