This awesome recipe is inspired by my local hang out in Brooklyn. The place is called Building on Bond. They have this amazing burger where they mix in ground chorizo in the meat. It not only gives the burger a really good and spicy taste, but also keeps it really juicy.

Serves 4

1 1/2 pound ground beef chuck
1/2 pound smoked chorizo
2 teaspoons worchestershire sauce
salt and pepper
4 thick slices Gryere
buns
lettuce
mayo

  1. Cut the chorizo in pieces and place in a food processor. Ground as fine as you can.
  2. In a large bowl mix beef, worchestershire and ground chorizo.
  3. Shape into 4 patties and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place on a medium hot grill, they need 4 minutes on each side for medium.
  5. After you turned it add the cheese.
  6. Serve the burger with lettuce, bun and mayo.

TIP:

You can make it with beef, lamb or turkey.
