A really easy and tasty dessert. The leftover liquid can be used for fruit salads.
4 apples, peeled (but keep the stem)
6 cups apple cider
1 cup light brown sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
2 star anise
1 piece dried ginger
- Rub the apples with lemon juice.
- Place them in a large pot and add the rest off the ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, lower the temperature, and let it all simmer for 10 minutes.
- Let cool.
- Serve the apples cold in the liquid.
