For those of you that live in New York knows what kind of days we have been having. It's been hot, steamy and muggy. On those days I look for my best "hot and steamy" comfort food.... lemon sorbet! Nothing cools me down like that. It's just the right mix of sour and sweet, just like me...lol
- Place sugar, corn syrup and water in a saucepan.
- Cook the mixture until the sugar is disolved.
- Remove from heat and add the lemon juice.
- Cool.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream make and freeze.
- If you don't have an ice cream maker, you can pour it into a bowl and place in the freezer.
- Take it our every hour and stir and scrape it with a fork.
- Do that until you have a nice texture.
- It's now called a granita and not a sorbet.
