You will need:
For the apples:
3⁄4 lb organic mixed apples
1⁄8 cup Sambuca
1 oz organic sugar
For the mix:
4 eggs
1 oz organic sugar
1⁄4 cup canola oil
pinch of salt
1⁄2 g Vanillina Pane degli Angeli*
10 oz organic flour
16 g of lievito Pane Degli Angeli*
3⁄4 cup warm whole milk
*Pane degli Angeli is an Italian baking powder. You can purchase on Amazon or in your local Italian grocer
For the apples:

1⁄2 g Vanillina Pane degli Angeli*
10 oz organic flour
16 g of lievito Pane Degli Angeli*

*Pane degli Angeli is an Italian baking powder. You can purchase on Amazon or in your local Italian grocer
- Cut apples thin, pour Sambuca, add sugar.
- Mix and let it sit for 1 hour.
- Mix eggs and sugar with electric mixer at 5–6 speed.
- Add salt and Vanillina Pane degli Angeli, mixing until you don’t feel the grains of the sugar.
- Add flour and work it with a spoon, then add lievito, milk, and canola oil. Mix first with a spoon then with electric mixer until desired consistency.
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Put a bit of canola oil into the pan.
- Spread it with your hand, so the entire pan is oiled and then spread a bit of flour on top.
- Pour all mix into pan, add the apples 1 by 1 putting them in the mix and also the surface.
- Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Insert a knife into the cake—if the knife comes out dry, the cake is cooked.
