This egg salad is also sometimes called "Gentlemen's Delight".

A real traditional, savory, and perfectly salty dish to serve with crisp bread is Gubbrora. It has also been called Gentleman’s Delight on this side of the pond. It is a salty egg salad, perked up with some anchovy fillets. It is a very typical Swedish dish, and must be served with a cold, light beer. Yum!

Serves 2

4 hard-boiled eggs

1 onion, preferably red

1 can (41⁄2 oz) anchovy filets

2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh dill

2 tablespoons chives

  1. Peel and coursley chop the hard boiled eggs.
  2. Chop the remaining ingredients finely.
  3. Mix everything together.
  4. Allow to rest in the refridgerator for at least 1 hour.
  5. Serve on crisp bread or with crackers.
