Creating your very own art from fresh flowers is super easy; it’s been around since the first Cherokee women pounded flowers to decorate their fabrics. Youse a variety of flowers to get wonderful colors and patterns!
SUPPLIES:
fresh flowers
thick masking tape
pieces of cotton or linen fabric
wooden board
hammer

- Trim the stems of flowers very short. Place your fabric right side up onto a wooden board. Working with one flower at a time, arrange flower face down on the fabric where you want it to print.
- Use masking tape to cover the entire back of the flower to adhere the flower to the fabric. Use a hammer to pound all over the tape-covered flower. Remove tape and remains of flower. Repeat with other flowers to create your artwork. (leaves can also be used)
- Fabric art can be framed, simply taped to a wall, or used to cover a blank journal as a gift for someone special this Easter.
