My friends at Traditional Medicinals asked me to incorporate three of their teas into my wellness routine for a three week period. In the evening, I’ve found that I am really benefiting from taking time to be very intentional and mindful about relaxing and reflecting on my day.
When I was a boy growing up in Norway I was always so interested in my Mormor’s nightly routine. She’d sit at her vanity and put on all sorts of gorgeously scented night creams. Evening Calm Balm with Lavender
Makes 1 large jar or two small jars
½ cup shea butter
⅓ cup almond oil
½ teaspoon lavender essential oil
- Place the shea butter and almond oil in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 1-2 minutes until melted.
- Stir in the lavender oil.
- Pour into a clean small glass container with a lid.
- Cool and ready to use.
