I have always loved to make my own lampshades.I usually buy old shades and strip them. Old shades have often interesting shapes to them. And it feels good to tear off the old fabric. This one I made for a summer story for Sweet Paul Magazine.

You need:
An old lampshade, stripped
A thin scarf
Hot glue gun

  1. Start by cutting up the scarf so that it fits around the shade.
  2. Start gluing on the top all the way around.
  3. Then stretch the fabric well and hot glue it to the bottom of the shade.
  4. Work yourself around until it's all done.
