Polenta is most used in savory dishes. Grilled with tomato sauce is the most common. But it also great to use as a sweet breakfast treat. I use the quick cooking polenta for this one, it's fast and easy and taste great. It's the perfect weekend breakfast.

Serves 4

4 cups milk
1 cup quick cooking polenta
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 pears, peeled and cored
1 cup blueberries
1 cup honey

  1. In a medium saucepan set over medium heat, bring milk to a boil.
  2. Whisk in polenta.
  3. Reduce heat to low and whisk until creamy. This takes about 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in butter.
  5. Serve hot with pears, blueberries and honey.
