A fabulous broccoli slaw made even more delish by the tahini dressing and almond slivers! I love to add a squeeze of lemon to the dressing to give it even more ZING!
I make this slaw at least twice a week—it’s the perfect side dish to almost any meal. You can also eat it alone or topped with grilled chicken.
1 large bunch of broccoli, finely sliced
1 small red onion, finely chopped (optional)
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
3 tablespoons tahini
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
4 to 5 tablespoons water
salt and pepper
1/4 cup dried cranberries (optional)
- Place the broccoli and onion in a large mixing bowl. Add almonds.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the tahini and mayo, and add the water a little at a time. The dressing should be creamy but not too thick.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Toss the slaw with the dressing and serve.
Add a squeeze of lemon juice to the dressing for a little tang.
